Just Transition Communication Guide for Civil Society

The Just Transition Communication Guide for Civil Society was developed as an output of the “Communication Roadmap for a Just Transition in Türkiye” project, implemented by YADA Foundation with support from GIZ (The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit). The guide brings together findings from social media discourse analysis aimed at understanding perceptions of just transition in Türkiye, field research conducted in Soma, Tavşanlı and İskenderun, and stakeholder meetings held in Istanbul, Izmir and Diyarbakır. Its contents include key information on the concepts of just transition and climate justice, Türkiye’s climate policies and the current legal and policy framework for just transition, recent research findings on perceptions of just transition in Türkiye, lessons learned from Germany’s experience, and targeted communication and advocacy recommendations for civil society organizations working in different fields.
